How Spotverse Works
What are the steps to use Spotverse?
Here's how Spotverse works:
- Select the Location: Express your interest by tapping on places on the map or selecting based on categories such as All, Non-Alcoholic, Alcoholic, LGBTQ+, Live Music, etc.
- Explore the Place: Like or dislike profiles, and apply various filters for search customization, including a particular area, drink type, age, gender, school, etc.
- Match, Chat, and Meet: When two users express mutual interest in the same location and swipe right on each other's profiles, a match occurs. Start chatting and plan a meeting at that location.
Block a Member
To block a user, go to their profile, click the three dots, and then select "Block Member." When a member is blocked, both your communications with that individual and their appearance in matches disappear. Additionally, the person you blocked won't be able to see you anymore.
Unblock a Member
Blocking a user has an eternal effect. You cannot unblock a member after blocking them.
Report a Concern
By going to a user's profile, tapping the three dots, and choosing "Report a Problem," you can submit an issue. Choose the response that most accurately expresses your concern and submit. We prioritize the security of our community. Please let us know about rude behavior, offensive photographs, and con artists. All reports are anonymous, and the subject of your complaint will never learn who you are.
Photos and Profiles
How to Upload a Photo
You can upload pictures from Facebook, your device, or take a spontaneous selfie.
- Tap the profile icon in the top navigation
- Tap the edit profile icon
- Tap the add button
- Select the photo you wish to upload
How to Delete a Photo
- Tap the profile icon in the top navigation
- Tap the edit profile icon
- Tap the X button
- At all times, you must have at least one photo. If you try to delete your most recent one, you will need to upload a new photo in its place.
Why was my Photo Removed?
Your photo was removed because it did not meet the requirements for our app's photos. You can submit a new image that complies with our requirements. Please consider your post carefully, as an inappropriate photo may be removed.

- No nude photos
- No photos depicting violence

- No photos of celebrities
Communication
How to Send a Message
You must swipe right to indicate interest in one another before you can send a message. When you find a mutual match, you can start a conversation. Tap the chat icon in the top navigation to start a conversation. Then, tap the person's photo and send a message.
Matches
How to Unmatch a Connection
In the chat section, tap the three dots on the right side of the connection's chat and select "Unmatch" to remove the connection.
My Match Disappeared
It appears that the person may have deleted their account or unmatched with you.
Access and Settings
How to Logout
- Tap the profile icon in the top navigation
- Tap the gear icon to access your settings
- Tap the "Logout" button to temporarily sign out of the app
- Logging out will not hide your profile
How to Delete my Account
- Tap the profile icon in the top navigation
- Tap the gear icon to access your settings
- Tap the "Delete" button to completely remove your account
- Deleting your account will remove all of your connections
Can I Change my Phone Number?
- Tap the profile icon in the top navigation
- Tap the gear icon to access your settings
- Tap "Phone Number" to change your phone number
- You can change your phone number once
Can't Login / My App Crashed
If you're experiencing login issues or app crashes, try the following:
- Try again later
- If the issue persists, try reinstalling the Spotverse application. Delete the app and then download it again to reinstall. Your matches won't be impacted by this as long as you don't delete your account.
